PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing and using four-coordination aluminum silicate which is superior to artificial zeolite in the adsorption capability and a method for improving soil in a slant or a building lot where the soil exposed to the air on the surface has become acid, affecting the growth of plants. ;SOLUTION: Four-coordination aluminum silicate can be obtained by adding an alkali carbonate to inorganic ingredients including silicic acid and aluminum before heating and melting them, then adding hot water or a hot alkali water solution to dissolve the melts, and lastly heating them again. This four- coordination aluminum silicate can be used as an improvement agent for the soil in a slant or a building lot after substituting for Ca-type four-coordination aluminum silicate to be sprayed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
