PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio data communication method, that improves a utilizing efficiency of wireless and wired transmission channels in radio data transmission by causing the transmission rate of the wired channel corresponding to a change in the transmission rate of the wireless channel to change and to provide a radio data communication system. ;SOLUTION: In this radio data communication system, number of wireless transmission channels between a mobile station 3 and a radio base station 4 is increased/decreased to increase/decrease the transmission rate, a radio base station transmits a high/low transmission rate request signal to a base station side signal processing unit 5, the base station side signal processing unit 5 transmits a control signal denoting the high/low transmission rate request signal of a wired channel to a network side signal processing unit, the network side signal processing unit transmits a control signal denoting a high/low transmission rate to the base station side signal processing unit, the base station side signal processing unit transmits the control signal denoting the high/low transmission rate to the radio base station to increase the transmission rate of the wired channel between the radio base station and the network side signal processing unit.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
