PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a betting system capable of adding money to a lock account balance by utilizing a prepaid card for betting funds from a member betting terminal in the betting system through a telephone line usable by members, in which a lock account is held in a financial institution, the money is deposited and betting for a winning horse is performed.;SOLUTION: In addition to a conventional betting system through the telephone line, a card management sub system for managing the prepaid card is provided. By a prepaid card authentication/money reception means, betting request access by the prepaid card is coped with. The betting system is provided with a means capable of performing a betting reception processing similarly to the betting funds by the normal lock account within the face value money amount of the prepaid card even when the balance of the lock account is zero on a fixture.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
