PURPOSE: To provide a garbage container transporting device for a skyscraper, in which garbage fallen at a high speed can be sufficiently buffered even when a soft garbage container is broken, and whose structure is simple so as to be miniaturized. ;CONSTITUTION: A soft garbage container in which garbage is stored is thrown in a vertical transporting pipe 1. Garbage 27 projected by the breakage and so on of this soft garbage container is freely fallen through the vertical transporting pipe 1, and a photoelectric sensor 12 detects this freely falling garbage 27. When the falling speed of the freely falling garbage 27 exceeds a predetermined speed, a buffer ball 21 stored in a ball storage cylinder 19 is inserted in the vertical transporting pipe 1. When the freely falling garbage 27 is collided with the buffer ball 21, it is decelerated by the buffer ball 21 so as to be slowly fallen, and landed on a bottom cover 15 together with the buffer ball 21.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
