The second phone (5) includes a device (7) for transmitting a signal used to activate or deactivate the first phone (1) via a wireless link. The signal is transmitted using e.g. a Bluetooth device via a central network and the second phone can be connected to a vehicle (2) so that the transmitting device can be connected to the vehicle starting system in order to generate an activation signal when the vehicle engine (11) is started or switched off. An independent claim is also included for an operating method for a telephone system comprising a first phone with a first SIM-card and a second phone with a second SIM-card connected to a vehicle, comprising the transmission of wireless signal to the first phone depending on the state of the vehicle, preferably when the engine is started or switched off.
