TECHNIQUE FOR SPARING CYSTECTOMY IN TREATMENT OF ODONTOGENIC RADICULAR CYSTS OF JAWS ACCOMPANIED BY EXTRACTION OF INVOLVED TOOTH

The technique for the sparing cystectomy in the treatment of the odontogenic radicular cysts of the jaws accompanied by the extraction of the involved tooth comprises the cutting and separating the mucoso-periostal flap. The external cortical plate of the bone at the site of the cyst is partly spared. The slits are trepanned at the periphery of the cystic site. The envelope of the cyst is separated from the adjacent bone through the trepanned slits and then the cyst is pulled away through the pit of the extracted tooth.
