The process for the prevention of the postoperative hematoma after phlebectomy comprises the intraoperative emptying of the canal in the place of the removed vein followed by the elastic bandaging of the operated limb and the local compreression in the projection of the removed vein. Intraoperatively, the balloon Fogerty catheter is installed into the subcutaneous canal of the removed vein. Postoperatively, the balloon is inflated, and the catheter is removed with content of the canal.
