The technique for substituting the defect of diaphysis in the long bone after resection of benign tumor comprises excochleation, the resection of the affected area of the bone, the osteoplasty for substituting the defect, subperiostal and aperiostal resection followed by attachments of the graft to proximal and distal fragments of the bone with the aid of the screws or employing G. Ilizarov's device for the external fixation. The graft is attached by the threaded rods passing through the graft and humerus and attached rigidly in the plate with the through openings and in the arches of the device for the external fixation.
