ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREAn MPEG-4 LIVE UNICAST VIDEO STREAMING SYSTEM IN WIRELESS NETWORKS WITH END-TO-END BITRATE-BASED CONGESTION CONTROLWith end-to-end congestion control, in an MPEG-4 Live Unicast Video Streaming Systemin wireless network, a StreamingServer provides real-time video-streaming to a Client by using RTP/UDP protocol. RTP/RTCP Transport Engines handle the segmentization / desegmentization and packetization / depacketizaiton of the data as well as the transmission/retransmission of the packets. A BitrateAdaptation protocol and a Network Bandwidth Polling protocol can automatically and dynamically adjust the data-bitrate/transmission-bitrate according to the available network bandwidth;so that the continuous live video-streaming service is promised.
