摘要

THE PRESENT INVENTION REFERS IN GENERAL TO A METHODOLOGY FOR THE GENERATION OF NON-SEGMENTED NEGATIVE CHAIN RNA VIRUSES (PRINGLE, 1991) FROM THE CLONE DEOXIRRIBONUCLEIC ACID (CDNA). SUCH RESCUED VIRUSES ARE USEFUL FOR USE AS VACCINES, OR ALTERNATIVELY AS PLASMIDS IN APPLICATIONS OF GENETIC SOMATIC THERAPY. THE INVENTION REFERS ALSO TO APPROPRIATE CDNA MOLECULES AS TOOLS IN THIS METHODOLOGY AND HELPER CELL LINES THAT ALLOW THE DIRECT RESCUE OF SUCH VIRUSES. THE SARAMPION VIRUS (MEASLES VIRUS, MV) IS USED AS A MODEL FOR OTHER REPRESENTATIVES OF MONONEGAVIRALES, IN PARTICULAR PARAMYXOVIRIDAE FAMILY.
