A system and method of providing automation, data management and collaborationfacilities between researchers and disciplines in a cost efficient andcentrally managed andmaintained manner for research programs in the life sciences disciplines andthe like is provided.The system and method provides an end to end information technology systemwhich allowsresearchers from multiple research disciplines, and in geographically diverselocations, to cooperatein research efforts. Management of large amounts of experimental and referenceinformation isinherently provided to meet diverse requirements of the researchers andregulatory agencies, whileappropriate security of the managed information is maintained.
