The invention relates to a culture vessel for the dual culture of organisms, comprising at least two culture chambers, each chamber comprising a base surface and at least one lateral surface. The base surfaces of at least two culture chambers are adjacent to each other and are separated from each other by at least one separating means. The separating means, is preferably, in the form of a separating wall, a separating ring and/or a separating film. Preferentially, the separating means comprises one or several recesses. Cultivation of at least two, preferably, different organisms is carried out with the aid of the inventive culture vessel, said organisms being in chemical contact but not in physical contact with each other.
