A home electric appliances remote control system comprising a home network (600) constituted by a home server (100) and home electric appliances (401, 402, ···) having communication functions; and an external server (200) connected to the home server via an external network (500), wherein the data structure of command data, which are indicative of control commands, transmitted from the external server, to be executed by the home server or home electric appliances or indicative of responses to the control commands from the home server or home electric appliances, includes address information for determining a particular appliance to be controlled, property information for determining the particular type of a control command for the particular appliance to be controlled, and identification information for determining whether the command data are for information acquisition or for transmission.
