DELAY CORRECTION METHOD FOR REAL-TIME VOICE DATA TRANSMISSION IN A SYNCHRONOUS MODEM, PARTICULARLY FOR TRANSFERRING VOICE IN REAL TIME BY CORRECTING A DELAY GENERATED DUE TO TRANSMISSION AND RECEPTION TIME DIFFERENCE DURING LONG TIME COMMUNICATION

PURPOSE: A delay correction method for a real time voice data transmission in a synchronous modem is provided to correct a delay phenomenon generated due to a rate difference between a data processor for processing voice data and a modem. CONSTITUTION: The first counter for counting data transmitted from a data processor to a modem in a certain unit and the second counter for counting data transmitted from the modem to a GSTN(General Switched Telephone Network) in a certain unit are set and initialized(S41). When 1 frame of data is transmitted from the data processor to the modem, the first counter is increased by 1(S42,S43). When data is transmitted to the GSTN through the modem, the current count number of the first and second counters are checked to determine whether both numbers of two counters are different as many as certain number(S44,S45). If both numbers are not different as many as the certain number, the modem transmits the 1 frame of data to the GSTN(S46) and the second counter is increased by 1(S47).
