PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING SEAL PATTERN AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY INCLUDING SEAL PATTERN FORMED BY THE PROCESS, PARTICULARLY REGARDING TO REDUCING MANUFACTURING COST BY EXTENDING LIFE SPAN OF PRINTING DEVICE

PURPOSE: A process for manufacturing seal pattern, and a liquid crystal display including a seal pattern formed by the process are provided to extend the life span of a printing device by not adding a glass fiber to a seal pattern material, thereby reducing manufacturing cost. CONSTITUTION: A first substrate(110) has pad parts(III,IV) to be connected with an external circuit at a peripheral area. A second substrate(130) is opposite to the first substrate in size exposing the pad parts of the first substrate. A seal pattern(142) is formed at a rim of the first substrate and the second substrate, having a liquid crystal injection port(150) at one side. The seal pattern is defined by a seal pattern area(VI). An area within the seal pattern area is defined by a display area(V). A plurality of patterned spacers are formed in the display area for regularly maintaining a cell gap within the display area by a photolithography process. A plurality of support patterns are formed in the seal pattern area in the same process as the patterned spacers for supporting the seal pattern.
