PURPOSE: A vibration compensating device is provided to reduce and damp vibration in operating a ship or a machine by changing the distance between the center of gravity of the rotating body and the shaft with moving the rotating body to the shaft and generating reverse excitation force. CONSTITUTION: A vibration compensating device comprises a housing(10), a driving shaft(20) rotating in the housing, a driven shaft(50) rotating by receiving rotational force from the driving shaft, a couple of rotating bodies(70,70') axially combined with the shafts and relatively moved, a screw relatively moving the rotating bodies to the shafts, and a detecting sensor(90) installed in the end of the driven shaft to measure rotational speed of the shafts. Both ends of the screw are combined with the front and rear walls of a penetration hole in the rotating body, and the distance between the shaft and the center of gravity of the rotating body is adjusted by moving the rotating body to the shaft in rotating the screw.
