APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR EXECUTING THE COMMUNICATION BETWEEN WIRELESS DEVICES WITHOUT A PICONET COORDINATOR IN A PICONET, ESPECIALLY CONCERNED WITH ACHIEVING THE TRANSMISSION AND RECEPTION OF DATA BETWEEN WIRELESS DEVICES WITHOUT A PICONET COORDINATOR

PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for executing the communication between wireless devices without a PNC(Piconet Coordinator) in a piconet is provided to achieve the communication between wireless devices using a virtual PNC having a simplified function in a piconet where a PNC does not exist. CONSTITUTION: A device scans channels that exists in a wireless medium(S601). The device scans all of the channel list(S602). The device checks piconet description(S611) and judges whether a beacon exists(S612). In case that a beacon exists in a channel, the device synchronizes the channel, associates with the piconet of a desired channel, and works as a member device of the piconet(S613,S614). However, if a beacon doesn't exist, the device judges whether it can work as a PNC for itself(S622). In case that the device can be operated as a PNC, the device forms an independent piconet and executes the functions of both the device and the PNC at the same time(S623).
