PRODUCTION OF MIXED GRAIN POWDER WHICH IS RICH IN VITAMIN C AND DIETARY FIBER AND CONTAINS EFFICACY OF CACTUS BY FREEZE DRYING AND GRINDING CACTUS AND THEN MIXING WITH CEREAL POWDER

PURPOSE: A method of making mixed grain powder by freeze drying and grinding a cactus(Opuntia dillenii(Ker-Gawl.) Haw.) and then mixing with cereal powder is provided. The product is rich in vitamin C and dietary fiber and contains efficacy of the cactus. CONSTITUTION: A cactus is freeze dried, ground and mixed with cereal powder to produce the mixed grain powder. For an example, a cactus is freeze dried at 45 to 50deg.C for 24hr and ground for 20 to 30min. Cereals are roasted at 90deg.C, ground and then mixed with 3% by weight of cactus powder. The cereals contain 15% by weight of soybeans, 14% by weight of rolled whole wheat, 12% by weight of barley, 5% by weight of rice, 4% by weight of sorghum, weight of corn, 6.5% by weight of perilla, 6.5% by weight of glutinous rice, 6.5% by weight of Coix seeds, 6.5% by weight of peanuts, 6.5% by weight of millet and 6.5% by weight of sesame.
