PURPOSE: An apparatus for measuring a distance by using a terminal is provided to easily measure a short object and improve the portability by calculating a distance measurement value according to speed or movement. CONSTITUTION: A light source part(111) applies light to a subject. An image sensor(112) senses an image of the subject formed by the light, and generates an image signal as a result. A control unit(120) converts the image signal into digital image data, and processes the digital image data for obtaining distance information and converts the distance information into an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) image signal. An LCD display unit(130) receives the LCD image signal for displaying the LCD image signal.
