PURPOSE: A structure for increasing the load carrying capacity of a structure using a steel beam and a construction method thereof are provided to maximize the resistance against the active load by reinforcing a beam and a slab. CONSTITUTION: A construction method for increasing the load carrying capacity of a structure using a steel beam comprises the steps of covering the outer face of a beam(10) with a reinforcing panel(30), fixing steel beams(40) at both inner sides of the reinforcing panel, fixing a reinforcing member(50) on the lower face of a slab(20) and adhering one steel beam to the other steel beam, connecting the steel beam with the reinforcing member via a connecting panel(60), and fixing a bracket on the lower face of the steel beams and the side of the reinforcing panel.
