PURPOSE: Provided is a heat shrinkable polyester film which has excellent crystallinity, is reduced in shrinkage velocity and aging in case of the storage for a long time and needs no pre-crystallization. CONSTITUTION: The heat shrinkable polyester film comprises terephthalic acid or dimethyl terephthalate as a dicarbonic acid component; and ethylene glycol, neopentyl glycol and propylene glycol as a diol component, and has a crystallization temperature of 80-220 deg.C and a heat shrinkage of 30 % or more to the length direction or the width direction in a warm water of 90 deg.C. Preferably the dicarbonic acid component comprises 90 mol% or more of terephthalic acid or dimethyl terephthalate; and the diol component comprises 30-74 mol% of ethylene glycol, 26-60 mol% of neopentyl glycol and 0-10 mol% of other diol components.
