APPARATUS FOR SETTING A USB HOST/SLAVE OF A MOBILE TERMINAL, PARTICULARLY FOR ALLOWING A MOBILE TERMINAL TO AUTOMATICALLY SET USB HOST AND SLAVE

PURPOSE: An apparatus for setting a USB host/slave of a mobile terminal is provided to control a path of power input of a USB driver according to a host or a slave. CONSTITUTION: A switch unit(107) applies battery power(105) to a USB power input terminal(113) of a USB driver(103) according to a switching control signal(125). A potential detector(111) detects a potential of an external power input terminal(123)among external communication terminals(121) provided in a mobile terminal. A mobile terminal controller(101) compares the detected potential with a pre-set threshold value, and if the mobile terminal corresponds to a host, the mobile terminal controller(101) outputs the switching control signal(125) for allowing application of the battery power(105) to the USB power input terminal(113). If the mobile terminal corresponds to a slave, the mobile terminal controller(101) outputs the switching control signal for preventing application of the battery power(105) to the USB power input terminal(113).
