PURPOSE: A method of generating a hyperbolic pattern using a bitmap image is provided to easily obtain a matrix which will be transformed into a polygon by efficiently searching a unique hyperbolic polygon that includes a random pixel. CONSTITUTION: A unique hyperbolic polygon which includes a certain pixel within a unit circle is obtained(S10), wherein the circle represents a hyperbolic plane. A transformation matrix for copying a pattern to the position of the polygon is calculated(S20). An inverse transformation matrix of the transformation matrix is calculated(S30). Image data corresponding to the certain pixel is obtained from the pattern by using the inverse transformation matrix(S40).
