PURPOSE: An airbag system having a seat belt remind function is provided to detect an error generated in transmitting a signal by generating a PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) signal with different duty ratios and supplying a seat belt state to a body control unit. CONSTITUTION: An airbag system(11) having a seat belt remind function is composed of a driver airbag module(13); a passenger airbag module(15); a driver seat belt sensor(27) for detecting wearing of a driver seat belt(29); a passenger seat belt sensor(31) for detecting the wearing of a passenger seat belt(33); a passenger occupation detection unit(25) for sensing boarding of passengers; a driver seat belt warning unit for alarming non-wearing of the driver seat be a passenger seat belt warning unit for alarming non-wearing of the passenger seat be a first control unit for controlling the driver and passenger airbag modules, receiving information about wearing of the driver seat belt and the passenger seat belt from the driver and passenger seat belt sensors and boarding of the passengers from the passenger occupation detection unit, and generating a belt condition signal based on the information about wearing of the driver and passenger seat belts and passengers' boarding; and a second control unit for receiving the belt condition signal from the airbag control unit and controlling each operation of the passenger and passenger seat warning units according to the received belt condition signal.
