PURPOSE: A silver solution regenerating device and a method of a washing machine are provided to increase the efficiency for using silver by regenerating a silver solution and to improve the sterilization and cleanness of the laundry by reliably pasteurizing the laundry. CONSTITUTION: A silver solution regenerating device is composed of a silver solution producing unit; a nozzle(40) for spreading the silver solution made by the silver solution producing unit over the laundry; a regenerating tube(33) extended from a discharge side of a tub(41) and disposed with a valve to regenerate selectively the silver solution; and a selector valve(32) for choosing and spreading the silver solution regenerated from the regenerating tube and the silver solution sent from the silver solution producing unit by the nozzle. A pump is disposed on the pipe line of the regenerating tube.
