PURPOSE: A method for controlling a dynamic GC(Guard Channel) based on position information in a mobile communication network is provided to dynamically control a quantity of a GC of a base station for a handoff call by using a position and a mobile direction of a subscriber, in order to reduce a cut-off rate of the handoff call, thereby improving speech quality. CONSTITUTION: As a mobile terminal(28) located within the first cell(22) managed by the first radio resource control module installed within the first base station(20) moves to the second cell(26) managed by the second radio resource control module installed within the second base station(24), a handoff process is performed. Mobile communication equipments including the first base station(20) and the second base station(24) collect subscriber position information such as subscriber distances and mobile directions so as to supply a position-based service.
