DIGITAL ELECTRONIC DEVICE FOR INPUTTING PINYIN OF CHINESE USING 3-STEP PINYIN INPUT GUIDE AND PINYIN INPUTTING METHOD OF THE SAME

PURPOSE: A digital electronic device for inputting Pinyin of Chinese using a 3-step Pinyin input guide and a Pinyin inputting method of the same are provided to facilitate input of the Chinese without learning for inputting the Pinyin by displaying the 3-step Pinyin input guide to a menu window and increase an input speed by using less typing numbers. CONSTITUTION: A keypad(110) has multiple keys that alphabet is assigned and function keys. An LCD(120) displays stepped menu windows for displaying Pinyin symbols matched with arrangement of the assigned alphabets. A ROM(140) stores a Pinyin input control program(142) processing the Pinyin input, and stores Chinese characters and words in a word database(144). If a mode selection key from the function keys to input the Pinyin is inputted from the keypad, a microprocessor(102) makes the display device output the menu windows. If the alphabet is inputted by matching with the Pinyin symbol displayed to the menu window, the microprocessor displays the menu windows for inputting the desired Chinese character stepwise.
