PURPOSE: An information storage medium for recording a scenario, a recording device, and a recording method, a reproducing device of the information storage medium and a scenario retrieving method are provided to express a scenario and/or a continuity by using a markup language for a movie script, thereby supplying various information to a user while enhancing an interaction with the users. CONSTITUTION: Elements describe components of a scenario. Attributes present detailed information on the elements. Each element is used for retrieving the scenario. The scenario is written by using the elements and the attributes. The scenario uses the elements as tags, and uses the attributes as attribute values for the elements, in order to be written in markup document type. The components of the scenario further include at least one of additional information and explanations for properties, clothing, and photographing places. The elements include word elements, which have reproduction time information as an attribute.
