PURPOSE: A home network system is provided to effectively configure a new home appliance, and to connect the new home appliance with an existing home network system without another operation, then to simultaneously perform the configuring operation. CONSTITUTION: At least one new device(50) is newly connected to a master device(30) through a predetermined network, transmits a plugged-in request message including an initial address, receives an address change request message including a predetermined logical address, and changes the initial address into the received logical address. At least the one master device(30) is connected with the new device(50) through the network, receives the plugged-in request message to set the logical address for the new device(50), and transmits the address change request message including the set logical address to the new device(50).
