PURPOSE: An image display device is provided to realize easily a large number of pixels and achieve higher precision by avoiding a write delay due to an influence of a parasitic capacitance of a signal line. CONSTITUTION: Each of pixels(71) includes a light emitting element which is driven to emit light on the basis of a display signal current. A display unit is constructed by the pixels. A signal line(2) is used for passing the display signal current to the pixels. A write pixel selecting unit is used for selecting a pixel to which the display signal current is to be passed via the signal line from the pixels. A display signal current generating unit is used for generating the display signal current. The write pixel selecting unit has a function of selecting N pixels, simultaneously.
