摘要

PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for matching an output terminal of a power amplifier according to a battery voltage of a mobile terminal are provided to reduce current consumption and lengthen a battery usage time by performing optimum impedance matching according to a battery voltage at an output terminal of a power amplifier. CONSTITUTION: A power amplifier(14) receives a voltage from a battery(12), amplifies an inputted radio signal, and outputs it through an antenna. A matching unit(20) matches the radio signal outputted from the power amplifier(14) with a specific impedance. A controller(10) controls the matching unit(20) to have a specific impedance according to a battery voltage level. The first to the Mth matching circuits(18) have a different impedance, respectively. A switching unit(16) outputs the radio signal outputted from the power amplifier(14) to a specific matching circuit under the control of the controller(10).
