PURPOSE: A process cartridge, an apparatus for setting the position of the process cartridge and an electro-photographic image forming apparatus are provided to perform efficiently the work for mounting the process cartridge to a main assembly. CONSTITUTION: A process member including a develop roller(22), an electrified roller and a cleaning member acts on an electro-photographic photosensitive drum(21). A bearing(27), as the first cartridge position setting member, is protruded from a longitudinal end of a cartridge frame including a photosensitive drum(24) and a developer frame(71) toward a longitudinal direction of a cartridge(2). A bearing(28), as the second cartridge position setting member, is protruded from the other longitudinal end of the cartridge frame toward the longitudinal direction of the cartridge. A guide plane(80d), as the first cartridge supporting member, is a portion of the bottom in the longitudinal end of the cartridge frame, so that the cartridge is supported by a movable guide member. A guide plane(80b), as the second cartridge supporting member, is a portion of the bottom in the other longitudinal end of the cartridge frame, so that the cartridge is supported by a movable guide member. A rotating member(82) is positioned to the front of the guide planes and has a posture control plane.
