PURPOSE: A method for automatically converting a language in a character editor of a mobile communication terminal is provided to internally convert a spelling of an inputted character into other language, and to convert a spelling of a character inputted from other language DB or to immediately convert the inputted character into a set language, thereby minimizing an inconvenience of converting into other language. CONSTITUTION: A character editor is set(S100). A user inputs a predetermined character to the character editor(S101). The editor retrieves a spelling based on a language of the inputted character(S102), and decides whether the spelling has an error(S103). If so, the editor internally converts the inputted character into a set language(S104). The editor retrieves whether a certain word has the same spelling in an English DB(S105). If not(S106), the editor converts the converted character into an original language(S107), and displays the character(S108). The editor decides whether to add a character(S111). If not, the editor transmits the converted character to a terminal of other party(S112).
