PURPOSE: A device for closing a sun roof and a convertible top by estimating meteorology is provided to automatically shut the sun roof and the convertible top before the rain by judging the probability of raining when the humidity of circumstance is over a predetermined value and the present atmospheric pressure is lower than the result formed by multiplying the previous atmospheric pressure by a constant value and then operating a motor. CONSTITUTION: A device for closing a sun roof and a convertible top by estimating meteorology is composed of a standby mode switch(1) for deciding if the sun roof or the convertible top is shut according to an automatic mode; a closing state sensor(2) for detecting the opening and closing state of the sun roof or the convertible top as an electric signal; a humidity sensor(3) mounted in the vehicle to detect the atmospheric pressure as an electric signal; an atmospheric pressure sensor(4) installed in the vehicle to detect the atmospheric pressure into the electric signal; an atmospheric pressure data memory unit(5) for memorizing the atmospheric pressure output from the atmospheric pressure sensor at real time; and a control unit(6) receiving signals output from the closing state sensor, the humidity sensor, and the atmospheric pressure sensor at real time and shutting the sun roof or the convertible top by operating a motor(7) if the humidity of circumstance is over a predetermined value and the present atmospheric pressure is lower than the result output by multiplying the previous atmospheric pressure by a constant value when the standby mode switch is turned on and the sun roof or the convertible top is opened.
