The present invention relates to a clarithromycin containing oral pharmaceutical composition and a method for preparing the same, where the bitter taste of clarithromycin, which is a macrolide antibiotic showing an unpleasant bitter taste upon oral administration, is masked. In the oral pharmaceutical composition of the present invention, clarithromycin as an active ingredient is coated with a water-insoluble polymer, so that the dissolution rate of clarithromycin is maintained at the same level as prior preparations while the bitter taste of clarithromycin is masked.
