摘要

The invention relates to methods for storing hydrogen in catalytic systems whose operation is based on cyclic hydrogenating-dehydrogenating reactions of condensed and polynuclear compounds. The inventive catalytic composite material for storing hydrogen comprises a hydrogen source in the form of an organic substrate responsive to a hydrating-dehydrating reversible reaction, a heterogeneous catalyst containing a carbon or oxide carrier having a high specific area and coated with at least one VIII group metal with a mass ratio between the substrate and catalyst ranging from 1:1 to 1000:1. The inventive storing hydrogen method consists in filling said catalytic composite material with hydrogen at a high pressure and in releasing hydrogen therefrom by heating the composite material at a low pressure. The filling is carried out during contact of the substrate and the heterogeneous catalyst at a temperature ranging from 50 to 180 DEG C and at the oxygen pressure ranging from 1 to 100 atm. The hydrogen is released during contact of the organic substrate which is hydrogenated while filling with the catalyst at a temperature of 250-350 DEG C and atmospheric pressure.
