The method involves utilizing a turbofan of a drive system with a piston-hydraulic prime mover to produce thrust for controlling an engine. The turbofan has a blower between heads of the prime mover. The drive system has a nacelle to produce air flow in the engine. The thrust is distributed during change of vertical take-off position to a horizontal flight position, and an additional aerodynamic lift is produced by the nacelle. An independent claim is also included for a drive system for operating a mini-flight apparatus.
