The device has a liquid container connected to a pipe and with a suction pipe connectable to a medical suction device. A rinsing tip which fits into the ear passage has a rinsing opening (32) which connects with the fluid pipe and with the suction pipe. The opening also connects with a secondary air pipe (24) which opens into the atmosphere and which can be closed at this end. At least a part of the pipe adjoining the tip (26), as well as the suction pipe and secondary air pipe can be contained in an elongated handle (18).
