The present invention relates to a method for determining the migration paths in the ground and for the utilization thereof for the extraction of natural gas and petroleum and for carrying out of bores for the optimal extraction of natural gas and petroleum based on the detected migration paths, wherein the bores in the range of natural gas - and petroleum deposits or new deposits are without and with consideration of topography and infrastructures.
