Neutralizing agent concentration is adjusted to less than 1%, by configuration of the distributor unit, which covers more than one third of the lake surface. pH is adjusted when the neutralizer is jetted into the body of water, to preferably less than 9.5; and to less than 7.5 when using soda. The concentration used in the pipeline and distribution system, is a function of the solubility and reactivity of the neutralizer. The neutralizer is solid, having a maximum particle size of 0.2 mm. For distribution sprayers and/or nozzles are arranged above the water surface, and/or distribution units are arranged below the water surface. The distributor can be moved through an angle of more than 20[deg]. and is matched with the flow regime on the surface of the lake, resulting from weather conditions. An independent claim is included for corresponding equipment.
