The powder spray coating booth has at least two flaps (2) mounted to pivot around their longitudinal axis between a part open position and a fully open position. The flaps both in the part open position and fully open position form between each other and between the outermost flaps and booth walls (22,24) adjacent to them a powder fall-through gap (28,30,32) which in the part open position is smaller than in the fully open position although still of sufficient size to allow passage of powder particles falling downwards by gravity force from the spraying zone (8).
