The process involves subjecting a precision leak (100) to a pressure for leakage calibration. The hole has 0.020 inch opening (110) comprising a recess (120) on both sides of the opening. The precision leak conforms to Standards of Californian Air Resource Board (CARB), when shape and dimension of the precision leak are concerned, to ascertain the size or magnitude of the leak in a tank system. An independent claim is also included for a device for detecting leakages in a tank system having an electric pump.
