The device (10) has a set of nozzle cases (12) arranged one behind other in a form of groups of nozzle case units. A cleaning unit (22) is arranged over the case units to remain in physical contact with air outlet surfaces of case units. A drive unit (32) moves the cleaning unit along the outlet surfaces, such that the cleaning unit gently rubs over a part of each outlet surface (14). The cleaning unit spans over the entire groups of nozzle case units to remain in physical contact with each and every outlet surface. An independent claim is also included for a method for cleaning a nozzle case in a suspension nozzle dryer.
