Reducing deterioration of performance-related vehicle equipment, under conditions controlled by driver, activates deterioration-reducing mode in control unit

Should a first condition (M1) exist, which can be varied by the driver, a mode reducing deterioriation (VM) (e.g. wear) is activated in a control unit. The control unit then controls or regulates performance-related equipment (AL), especially an actuator, for optimal reduction of deterioriation. An independent claim is included for the corresponding vehicle with deterioration-reducing equipment.
