System for generating a rating value for a company comprises: means for partitioning the company into non-overlapping units, means for specifying risks, opportunities and factors for each unit, means for quantifying risks, opportunities and factors, data input means for a data management system for quantification of expectation values, uncertainties and correlations and means for consolidating the specified risks and opportunities based of the uncertainties and correlations to obtain a rating value. The invention also relates to a corresponding method.
