Preparation of alkoxylated alkyl and/or alkenyl polyglycosides (A) comprises reaction of alkylene oxides with alkyl- and alkenyl polyglycosides (I) (in aqueous preparation form with a water content of about 5 wt.%). Preparation of alkoxylated alkyl and/or alkenyl polyglycosides comprises reaction of alkylene oxides with alkyl- and alkenyl polyglycosides of formula (R 1O-[G] p) (in aqueous preparation form with a water content of about 5 wt.%). R 14-22C alkyl or 4-22C alkenyl; G : 5-6C saccarides; and p : 0-10.
