The motor vehicle without a B-pillar has at least one front door (2) and at least one rear door (3) on one body side, whereby both doors in the closed state abut by at least one edge through the intermediary of a seal (4). Before and/or during the opening of one door the other door is adjusted by means of a servo closing unit (9) by a predetermined amount and occupies a seal relieving position in order to protect the seal against damage. The front door is constructed as a hinged door fixed on the A-pillar (A), and the rear door is designed as a sliding door connected to the C-pillar (C).
