Computer processing method for a graphical volume data set with a multiplicity of voxels, whereby the computer automatically determines the base surface data values for the base pixels in the base image and whereby each base hit pixel is matched with a corresponding base projection line within a volume data set. A vessel voxel and intermediate base voxel are determined from the projection line and finally an independent hit voxel is determined.
