A frame (4) has a racket head (6) to which a handle (10) is connected through a heart region (8). Multiple layers are wound to form the hollow profile of the frame. At least one dampening layer (12a,12b) is included in one or both of the racket head and heart region and is wrapped between the multiple layers. An independent claim is also included for a racket producing process.
