The shield support frame (1), for use in a mine at the coal seam, has sledges (2) with swing plates (6,7) linked to them by bolt joints at the ends towards the coal face. The higher connection section (12) of the swing plate at the sledge is in a height ratio to the lower movement section of the swing plate of 2.5:1.0. The transit step (14) between the two swing plate sections is pitched at =45[deg].
